10th Annual Economic Forecast Forum - January 3, 2012 > Sheraton Imperial > RTP
This decade-long tradition presented by the Chamber and NC Bankers Association provided the first outlook for North Carolina business in the new year. This 10 year anniversary event was sponsored by Fifth Third Bank. Attendees heard from national and statewide economists, business leaders and lawmakers to get insight on what's to come in 2012! The agenda featured Keynote Speaker: Kevin Kabat, President and CEO, Fifth Third Bank. It also featured: Harry Davis, Economist, and Bob Ingram, General Partner Hatteras Venture Partners. Many came early for the special preliminary session to hear from Bill Johnson (Progress/Duke Energy) and Tom Skains (Piedmont Natural Gas) with an energy update in N.C. 70th Annual Meeting > Durham, NC / RTP |  March 14, 2012
Annually, this is the Chamber’s flagship event presented by Duke Energy. This year was extra special as it marked our 70th anniversary. Historical keynote speakers have included North Carolina Governors, Fortune 100 Company executives, and in-demand business leaders. Dr. Nido Quebin, Author, President of High Point University, and Chairman of Harvest Bread Company flattered us with his remarks this year's meeting. We also honored our Distinguished Citizenship and Distinguished Public Service awards. Human Resources Conference > Concord, NC | May 3, 2012
The 2nd Annual Human Resources Conference provided attendees with important updates relevant to all companies and employees. Topics included federal health care reform, including reporting requirements, implementation, and their impact on your business. Government Affairs Conference > Raleigh, NC | May 22, 2012
The Chamber’s 5th Annual Government Affairs Conference launched the 2012 legislative session. The conference was followed by a member reception at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences where members and attendees met with the NC General Assembly along with other state and business leaders to discuss items critical to creating jobs and growing the economy. The Chamber supported issues of concern to the business community including a focus on tax policies, education reform, unemployment insurance, tort laws, water infrastructure needs and environmental regulations. After a three year hiatus, the North Carolina Chamber was proud to bring back the Manufacturing Summit! Education Summit > Greensboro, NC | August 7, 2012
The Chamber's Fourth Annual Education Summit engaged business leaders and educators in a discussion of the role they can play in ensuring the state’s students are well-prepared for the jobs of tomorrow. This year’s summit continued the dialogue and generated thought-provoking conversation. Like the Chamber’s three previous Education Summits, this one received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from top educators and business leaders of North Carolina. Attendees at the Environmental Management Summit received critical updates on environmental management issues affecting your cost of doing business. Tax Conference > Charlotte, NC | November 15, 2012
Like the previous four Tax Conferences, this year’s event provided companies with current information on state and federal tax-related issues and policies. Topics included federal tax implications, state tax modernization, state legislative updates, a state revenue forecast for the coming year, and national tax trends and changes. Taxes affect every business of every size – that's why this annual event is a vital conversation!
 
Energy Conference > RTP, NC | December 6, 2012
The Chamber’s premier Energy Conference provided attendees with the opportunity to hear from the leading experts on energy efficiencies and the variety of energy sources from across the state including nuclear and solar energy, natural gas and clean coal.
